Dinner Club
My Dinner Club is an informal social gathering at a secret location. I come up with a theme, plan and cook a menu using quality seasonal ingredients and my guests sit around one big table, enjoy the food and socialise. Just like old times.
On Sunday 29th November we ran 'Pipoca Moderna', an evening of films and popcorn followed by dinner, set exclusively at a small cinema and dining venue in Soho.
At 5 o'clock guests were invited to the screening room where we showed a British mermaid comedy from the 1940's and 'Fishtale', a short film by Dagmar Baumunk. At 7pm dinner was served. On the menu - a very Brazilian pumpkin and king prawn soup to warm us up - then chicken with mustard seed and coconut milk, lemon rice and a crunchy French bean salad. To finish, upside-down apple tart with cinnamon ice cream, coffee and tea.
